​From in-depth work to small collection

In 2022, three machine mechanics approached me with the idea of documenting the manufacturing process of a hoodie and writing their final thesis on it. I thought the idea of showing how much work goes into a single garment was great. So the three of them came to the atelier and we got the project off the ground together.

 

Even while searching for the fabric, it became clear to the three of them that a custom-made hoodie requires much more effort than expected.

 

Once they had gathered all the materials, they came to the atelier to get an insight into the production process. On that day, I was able to take them through almost all the steps involved in making a hoodie.

 

After the hoodie had been made, they were embroidered and printed. To top it all off, I was invited to the photo shoot.

 

It was a thoroughly interesting and refreshing project.
